Job Description: Network Security Engineer About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures across enterprise environments. This role is critical to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational data by defending against network-based threats and vulnerabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Design and deploy secure network architectures for on-premises,

cloud, and hybrid environments.

· Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and network access

control systems.

· Monitor network traffic and security events using IDS/IPS and SIEM

platforms.

· Conduct regular network vulnerability assessments and implement

mitigation strategies.

· Collaborate with SOC and IT teams to investigate and remediate

network-related incidents.

· Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and

procedures.

· Perform risk assessments and threat modeling for network

infrastructure.

· Ensure secure configuration and patching of routers, switches, and

other network devices.

· Lead network segmentation and zero-trust initiatives to reduce attack

surface.

· Stay informed on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security

technologies.

Required Skills and Experience:

· 5–7 years of experience in network security engineering or

architecture.

· Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise firewalls (e.g.,

Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).

· Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP,

SNMP).

· Experience with IDS/IPS tools (e.g., Snort, Suricata, Cisco

Firepower).

· Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar,

LogRhythm).

· Familiarity with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN) and secure remote

access.

· Knowledge of cloud networking and security controls (AWS, Azure,

GCP).

· Experience with packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump).

· Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and

security tasks.

· Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and secure SD-WAN

implementations.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a

related field.

· Relevant certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA

Security+, PCNSE.

· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex network

environments.

· Excellent documentation and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional security

initiatives.

Preferred Skills:

· Experience with network access control solutions (e.g., Cisco ISE,

Aruba ClearPass).

· Exposure to SOAR platforms for automated incident response.

· Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework for network threat mapping.

· Experience with compliance audits (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA).

· Knowledge of integrating threat intelligence into network defense

strategies.
