Job Description:

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inventory Controller to manage and maintain accurate inventory levels across our operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with inventory setup, stock control systems, and best practices in inventory management. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth supply chain operations, minimizing waste, and supporting business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain inventory systems, including item master data, categories, SKUs, and units of measure
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability without overstocking
  • Perform regular stock counts, reconciliations, and variance investigations
  • Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to track inbound and outbound stock
  • Implement and maintain inventory tracking tools/software (e.g., Excel, Petpooja, or POS systems)
  • Analyze inventory trends and recommend adjustments to minimize loss and maximize efficiency
  • Ensure proper labeling, organization, and storage of products
  • Generate inventory reports and provide data to management as needed
  • Assist in setting par levels, reorder points, and stock replenishment schedules
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and audit standards

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Inventory Controller, Inventory Coordinator, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of inventory setup and control processes
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, Petpooja, POS, or Excel)
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience setting up a new inventory system or reorganizing an existing one
  • Knowledge of FIFO, LIFO, and other inventory methods
  • Familiarity with foodservice, retail - food related, or warehouse operations (if relevant to your business)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35, ₹45,000.00 per month
