We are seeking a skilled Cloud Architect to design and implement scalable, secure and highly available cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud computing, architecture design and deployment, as well as expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle or Google Cloud. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud strategies with business goals.


Location: · Expected to travel and be stationed across various States in India as per project requirement. 

At least 5 years of experience in designing cloud-based solution of large IT/ITeS projects in the role of cloud architect


Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture Design

  • Develop and design scalable, reliable and secure cloud architectures that meet business needs.
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud services, including compute, storage, databases, networking and analytics tools, based on project requirements.
  • Use tools like AWS CloudFormation or Azure Resource Manager to automate and manage cloud infrastructure.

Cloud Infrastructure Management

  • Deploy cloud-based solutions and integrate them with on-premises systems and other cloud services.
  • Continuously monitor cloud infrastructure, optimize resource utilization, and ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Implement and enforce security protocols including access management, encryption and vulnerability detection to protect data and systems in the cloud.

  

Cost Management and Optimization

  • Regularly assess and optimize cloud services to reduce costs while maintaining performance and scalability.
  • Work with stakeholders to estimate and forecast the cloud infrastructure budget based on business requirements and expected growth.

Collaboration with Stakeholders

  • Collaborate with software developers, systems engineers and other IT teams to ensure cloud solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Engage with business leaders and product managers to understand business needs and design appropriate cloud architectures.
  • Guide teams in the adoption of cloud technologies and best practices providing technical direction and support.

Cloud Migration

  • Oversee the migration of applications, databases and infrastructure from on-premises or other cloud providers to the new cloud platform.
  • Ensure smooth transitions by managing migration risks, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.

Cloud Security and Compliance

  • Ensure cloud security by designing solutions with proper identity and access management (IAM), encryption and compliance controls.
  • Ensure that cloud systems meet industry regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) and maintain a secure cloud environment.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

  • Continuously research and evaluate new cloud technologies, industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization stays ahead.
  • Regularly review and optimize cloud systems for performance, scalability and security and make necessary improvements based on evolving business needs.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed documentation of cloud architectures, configurations and design decisions for future reference.
  • Generate regular reports for management on cloud usage, performance metrics and cost analysis.

 

Required Skills:

·       Deep knowledge of leading cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Oracle and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

·       Familiarity with a wide array of cloud services such as compute (EC2, Azure VM), storage (S3, Azure Blob), databases (RDS, BigQuery) and networking (AWS VPC, Azure Virtual Network).

·       Ability to design solutions that integrate multiple cloud providers or connect on-premise infrastructure with the cloud (hybrid cloud).

·       Expertise in automating cloud infrastructure using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Ansible etc.

·       Proficiency in identity and access management (IAM), encryption, firewalling, VPN and security groups to ensure the integrity of cloud systems.

·       Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) and industry-specific cloud security standards.

·       Ability to design cloud architectures that meet compliance and governance standards.

·       Understanding of subnets, load balancing, DNS, VPN and Direct Connect for hybrid and multi-cloud networking solutions.

·       Experience with CI/CD tools and practices such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps, to automate deployment and cloud infrastructure management.

·       Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing microservices in the cloud.

·       Familiarity with orchestration tools (e.g., AWS ECS, EKS, Google Kubernetes Engine) for scaling and managing containerized applications.

·       Knowledge of cloud pricing models and cost control mechanisms.

·       Ability to design cost-efficient architectures using auto-scaling, serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions), and spot instances to reduce operational costs.

·       Experience using tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, and Google Cloud Billing to monitor and optimize cloud spending.

·       Knowledge of designing cloud solutions that ensure high availability, load balancing, and automatic failover across regions and zones.

·       Skills in optimizing performance and resource allocation for efficient scaling (e.g., Auto Scaling Groups in AWS, Azure Autoscale).

·       Expertise in cloud database solutions such as Amazon RDS, Google Cloud SQL, Azure SQL etc.

·       Understanding of database replication, clustering and backup strategies in the cloud.

·       Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions like AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery or Azure Synapse Analytics.

·       Familiarity with cloud-native monitoring and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and Google Stackdriver for tracking system health, performance, and resource usage.

·       Ability to set up and configure alerts and dashboards to proactively monitor cloud environments.

·       Strong diagnostic skills to identify and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, including network bottlenecks, performance issues and security incidents.

 

 Qualification:

  • B.Tech/ B.E./ MCA or higher in a related field.

·       Any leading Cloud certification.

·       At least 5 years of experience in designing cloud-based solution of large IT/ITeS projects in the role of cloud architect (projects in Government Sector/Public Sector/Private Sector).
