R&D Scientist – Biomass Valorization

What You'll Do:
As our R&D Scientist , you’ll drive groundbreaking experiments to create scalable, innovative methods for biomass valorization. You’ll have the chance to shape early-stage R&D and play a key role in taking experiments from concept to tangible results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute lab-scale experiments to develop novel methods for biomass valorization.
- Work with advanced lab equipment, including high-pressure reactors , to test and refine processes.
- Meticulously document all experiments, maintaining accurate records of results, observations , and improvements.
- Analyze experimental data and translate findings into actionable steps for scaling.
- Innovate and iterate on processes to improve efficiency, yield, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align R&D efforts with broader goals.
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching and integrating cutting-edge advancements in biomass technologies.
Who You Are:
We’re looking for a creative, hands-on problem solver who’s not afraid to challenge the status quo.
Must-Haves:
- Educational Background: Degree in Chemical Engineering , Biotechnology , or Material Science (Master’s or PhD preferred).
- Experience: Hands-on experience in biomass processing, with a strong preference for those who’ve worked on valorization techniques .
- Equipment Expertise: Familiarity with high-pressure lab-scale reactors and other relevant lab equipment.
- Skills: Exceptional ability to design experiments, analyze data, and optimize processes.
- Mindset: A hustler with a passion for innovation and a knack for solving complex problems.
Out-of-the-Box Thinker:
- You’re not just about optimizing existing methods—you’re excited to develop entirely new approaches to valorizing biomass and creating sustainable, scalable solutions.
Attention to Detail:
- You believe precise documentation is the foundation for innovation and success in R&D.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with biomass characterization techniques or advanced analytical tools (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS, spectroscopy).
- Knowledge of downstream applications of biomass-derived products.
- A strong passion for sustainability and creating impact.
