Roles & Responsibilities Storage

Proficiency with Enterprise class storage administration Dell EMCPowerStore/ PMAX/ VMAX/VNX/UNITY/ISILON/ECS/XIO & NetApp CMODEHPE (Nimble)

Hands on experience with Businesscontinuity replication services like SRDF Time FinderClone.

Managing SAN environment with BrocadeDirector Core & Edge switches of different models

Hands on in upgrading SAN switch firmware & codeupgrade on different storage arrays.

Performance monitoring & resolving bottlenecks with respect tofabric storage arrays & hosts.

Understanding of thin & thick provisioning & reclaimingstorage masking zoning unzoning & expansion as perrequirements.

Creation of Storage Metricsreport for capacity planning.

Comfortable withconfiguration of data protection using Snapshots SnapmirrorSYNCIQ.

Configuration of Aggregates QtreeVolumes LUNs on NetApp filer.

Hands onknowledge on CIFS SMB NFS protocols.

Creationof Access Zones File Shares (SMB/NFS/Multi Protocol)& managingpermissions access & Quota on Isilon

Comfortable with different tools like CMCNE SANnav Unisphere SYMCLIOCUM Security Explorer InsightIQ & AppSync.

Experience with data migration techniques for both Block & Filestorage using robocopy emcopy

In depthknowledge of ITIL processes like Incident management Problemmanagement Change management.

Ability to handleCritical issues independently.

Coordinate withvendor technical support for hardware & software breakfix.

Knowledge of automation tools &Certification on EMC technology is an added advantage.

Backup

Installation configuration & upgradation of backup environmentcomprising Veritas NetBackup 10x Veritas Appliance EMC Data DomainTape libraries

Configuring policies storageunits & volume pools as per requirement.

Monitor daily backup failures & recovery operations &resolving issues.

Monitor disk & tapebackup environment to make sure 100% availability.

Expert in new implementation of NetBackup infrastructure& hardware refresh.

Manage configuration ofdisk backups MSDP pool management Media management & vaultmanagement.

Good Understanding of differentbackup configuration VMware MS Windows Oracle NDMP MSExchange.

Hands on expertise on NetBackupversion Upgrades Data Domain DDOS & Appliance OS upgrade as perrecommendation.

Experience in configuring DataDomain replication for DR DDboost SQLboost.

Performance monitoring & finetuning NetBackupparameters.

Understanding of Storage LifecyclePolicies & Duplication configuration.

Knowledge of Ops Center Analytics for alerting &reporting.

Basic understanding of WindowsServer & Linux/AIX Operating system.

Vendormanagement for hardware & software break fix.

Druva Phoenix (saas) Cloud backup configurationmonitoring & troubleshooting of different workloads like VMwareFile Server NAS SQL Oracle

Maintain HealthyBackup success rate and SLA.

Cloud
