Job Summary:
The Head of Retail Construction (PAN India) will oversee all aspects of retail construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in retail construction management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead and manage retail construction projects from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of construction professionals, including project managers, site managers, and subcontractors.
- Vendor Coordination: Negotiate and manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure optimal performance and cost efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor construction quality and address any issues to maintain high standards.
- Reporting: Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and issues.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 15+ experience in retail construction management , with a proven track record of successfully completed projects.
- Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and proficiency in project management software.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Experience with retail-specific construction practices is highly desirable.
