Responsibilities:
- Review daily new SOC and check compliance with PO and TDC requirements.
- Update and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly plans.
- Coordinate inter-department communication and align activities between Marketing, Production, and Dispatch teams.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) for external and internal rejections.
- Maintain equipment calibration records and certificates.
- Coordinate external lab tests and ensure testing requirements are met.
- Raise inspection calls for TPI inspections as per the planning sheet.
- Attend, coordinate, and perform TPI inspections.
- Prepare monthly reports, including scrap reports, within the first 5 days of each month.
- Ensure traceability and identification of all QC equipment and machines.
- Cross-check and ensure all in-process and final registers are updated.
- Organize and oversee work in the absence of any Quality Engineer or Supervisor.
- Train new workers and supervisors on Quality Department procedures.
- Plan and manage workers for activities in the responsible areas.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the department head.
Qualifications:
- B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Quality Control/Inspection in the Steel/Metal/Iron/Non-ferrous industry.
- Proficiency in QC inspection, SOC review, PO checks, and TPI inspection.
- Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Experience with equipment calibration and external lab testing processes.
- Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
