HR Business Partner

The HR role is to provide strategic HR support to mainly Plant operations along with corporate functions. This position serves as a trusted advisor to Plant management, department heads, and corporate leaders, ensuring alignment between HR initiatives at local and global business objectives across the organization. The HR business partner collaborates closely with stakeholders to drive employee engagement, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with Plant manager and other key stakeholders and corporate leadership to understand business goals and develop HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Provide HR guidance and support to Plant managers, team leads, supervisors, department heads, operations and & corporate managers on various HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and talent development. Work closely with Centre of excellence teams talent acquisition, learning & development, compensation & benefits and HRIS on various initiatives Facilitate the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and career development planning & compensation & benefits of all employees Drive initiatives to promote employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organization Serve as a liaison between Plant employees, legal, finance, administration, IT and corporate HR, ensuring consistent communication of HR policies, programs and initiatives Proven expertise in Labour Law, Shops and Establish Act, Factory Act Compensations, Statutory Compliance, including EPF, ESIC, Professional Tax.factory Work as a conduit in shop floor, handle employee grievances, provide coaching and guidance, ensure effectiveness of two-way communication channel, advocate Millerknoll culture in the plant

Employee Relations
- Ensure that all relevant labour laws & regulations are respected and complied on time
- Responsible for maintaining industrial peace and harmony in a unionized workforce (as applicable)

Welfare, Canteen, Security
- Design and develop employee welfare activities calendar

- Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and make recommendations for continuous improvement

- Work closely with safety team to ensure health and safety measures in the Plant premises

Discipline & Dispute handling
- Review labor requirements and work closely with legal, finance, administration & Plant manager on employment contracts, standing order, employment grievances, POSH
- Guide Plant leads, supervisor and managers in handling any blue collar employee related disputes
- Able to handle employee grievances & employee escalations to ensure that they are resolved promptly

- Needs to play a key role in forecasting the labour requirements and plan them accordingly in consultation and partnership with TA, Plant and HR Head

- Create termination packages, complete assigned terminations, ensure all termination paperwork is complete as per legal requirements

- Oversee all necessary paperwork, employee communications, benefits maintenance, leave tracking, management reports, compensation (as applicable), merit cycle and pay review

Audits and Statutory Compliance
- Ensure statutory compliances for all employees including blue & white collar,
contract employees & corporate office

Ensure statutory compliance audit requirements are supported Maintaining Monthly, Half yearly, and annually Returns process, as per online uploading norms and government department’s requirements. (Labor, Factories, PF, ESIC)

Qualification & other requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Masters preferred. Proven experience as an HRBP or similar role in Plant with exposure to corporate office, with 8 years working in the factory floor/Plant set up and gaining technical experience with the equipment. 1 to 2 years of supervisory/ mentoring experience is an added advantage Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws Strong analytical and  Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align HR initiatives with business goals across diverse settings Kannada language proficiency Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels Demonstrated ability to handle complex HR issues with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality. Proficiency in HRIS systems and advanced Microsoft Office skills Certifications on Industrial laws, Industrial Relations Working in plant 4 days a week and 1 day in other offices in Bangalore
