Type: Contract Job #18137 About the role Our client is upgrading its ERP platform from SAP ECC6 to S4HANA. The Business Analyst will support finance stakeholders, ICT teams, and delivery partners to analyse current finance processes, define future state requirements, and enable improved financial capability, reporting, compliance, and accountability during the transition. Key Responsibilities Gather and document finance business requirements for the ERP upgrade. Analyse current SAP ECC6 processes and support future state design in S4HANA aligned to Whole of Government finance standards. Assist configuration reviews, process re engineering, and finance data mapping. Support data migration planning, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation with finance and ICT teams. Prepare and review functional documents including business process models, requirement specs, and user stories. Participate in design workshops and walkthroughs to ensure finance requirements are incorporated. Develop test plans, support user acceptance testing, and manage finance related defects. Contribute to training material development and finance change management activities. Maintain documentation aligned to Queensland Government project governance. Identify and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies. Highly desirable criteria Strong knowledge of financial processes and controls in government environments. SAP ECC6 FI CO experience with exposure to S4HANA capabilities including Universal Journal and Fiori. Experience in large scale SAP project delivery in finance contexts. High capability translating finance business needs into system requirements. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement across seniority levels. Experience preparing project documentation and process models using tools such as Visio, Excel, Jira, Confluence. Desirable criteria Experience with SAP S4HANA fit to standard approaches and processes. Skills and experience Requirements gathering, business process analysis, and future state design. Data mapping and data migration support across finance systems. UAT planning and execution including defect management. Process modelling using BPMN or similar. Understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, asset management, funds management, AP and AR in government settings.
