About the Role Overview

Nanoprecise Sci Corp is seeking a highly skilled IT Security Engineer to enhance the security posture of our IT infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and secure Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive to ensure compliance and data protection.
  • Design, implement, and manage security solutions for AWS cloud workloads, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
  • Strengthen endpoint security by managing and optimizing Microsoft Intune MDM and endpoint protection policies.
  • Perform security assessments and vulnerability management for web applications, ensuring strong authentication methods and secure JWT handling.
  • Conduct penetration testing and analyze results to enhance system security.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of IT security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Work closely with DevOps and IT teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct forensic investigations, and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with security regulations and frameworks, such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, and GDPR.
  • Manage identity and access controls using Azure Active Directory (AAD) and IAM roles.
  • Support IT audits and risk assessments, providing remediation plans where necessary.
  • Lead training and awareness initiatives for employees on cybersecurity threats and best practices.
Measures/ KRA's
  • Incident Response Efficiency: Time taken to detect, investigate, and remediate security incidents.
  • Compliance Adherence: Ensuring systems comply with ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and other security frameworks.
  • Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Management: Frequency and success of vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • Microsoft 365 Security Posture: Effectiveness of security configurations in Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • AWS Security Hardening: Implementation and maintenance of AWS security best practices.
  • Endpoint Protection: Success in managing Microsoft Intune MDM and endpoint security policies.
  • Access & Identity Management: Ensuring secure Azure AD and IAM role-based access controls.
  • Security Awareness Training: Participation and effectiveness of cybersecurity training initiatives.
Preferred Skills

Microsoft O365 Management, Microsoft Azure DevSecOps, AWS DevSecOps, General IT troubleshooting and management, Problem solving approach Reverse Engineering, Penetration Testing, Binary Analysis, Cloud Config and Posture Review.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2-4 years of IT Security experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, compliance tools, and data governance strategies for secure file management and lifecycle control.
  • Certifications such as OSxx (Offsec Certs), SANS, AWS Security Specialty, or Microsoft Security certifications.
  • Experience with DevSecOps practices and integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and network segmentation strategies.
