Company Description

Carbon Circle builds, owns and operates Renewable Natural Gas (also known as CBG) projects in India. These facilities convert organic matter in agricultural residues, industrial wastes, energy crops into biogas which is then upgraded to RNG.

RNG is a green alternative for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG), and hence decarbonizes transportation and heating (industrial, domestic) applications. Organic manure is a byproduct from our facilities.

Our first plant is operational in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh since August 2024. Our 2nd and 3rd projects are currently under development in Bareilly and Shahjahanpur.

About the Founder

Guru Inder has a history of picking up ideas early and fast rollouts eg. Rooftop Solar, Open Access, EV. He was the Founder & ex - COO of Amplus Solar, which is one of the largest C&I renewable energy platforms in Asia. After exiting Amplus Solar to Petronas, an oil & gas major, Guru Inder founded Carbon Circle in 2022.

The current opening is for Carbon Circle's RNG plant in Richha (Baheri), District Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.

Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage all finance, accounts, compliance, and administrative functions at our RNG Plant. The role covers payments, inventory, stores, weighbridge, labour compliance, and statutory filings . The Accountant will report to the Plant Head and the Head Office Finance team and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial operations at the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (CA Inter preferred but not mandatory).
• 5–7 years of experience in plant accounting, manufacturing SMEs, sugar mills, distilleries, agro processing, food industry, agri-inputs .
• Strong knowledge of Tally/ERP, GST, TDS, e-way bills, and PF/ESI compliance .
• Experience handling stores and inventory at a plant site is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Payments

• Handle day-to-day accounting entries in Tally/ERP.
• Process vendor invoices, ensure proper approvals, and make timely payments.
• Maintain petty cash and site-level expense registers.
• Bank reconciliation, cash reconciliation, and month-end closing.

2. Inventory & Stores Management

• Maintain records of feedstock, spares, chemicals, lubricants, and consumables.
• Work closely with the Stores In-charge to ensure GRN (Goods Receipt Note) and issue slips are properly recorded.
• Conduct monthly stock verification and reconciliation.

3. Weighbridge Operations

• Monitor weighbridge data for incoming feedstock (press mud, cow dung, chicken litter, etc.) and outgoing digestate/CBG sales.
• Ensure weighment slips are integrated into accounts and reported accurately.

4. Compliance & Taxation

• Prepare and file GST returns, e-way bills, and tax challans .
• Maintain compliance with TDS, PF, ESI, Labour Laws .
• Liaise with statutory auditors and government officers as required.

5. Labour & Contractor Compliance

• Verify contractor bills, overtime, and attendance.
• Ensure timely deposit of ESI & PF contributions and filing of returns.
• Maintain muster rolls and compliance registers as per labour laws.

6. Reporting

• Prepare daily MIS : payments, receipts, feedstock stock levels, and weighbridge summary.
• Weekly and monthly reporting to Head Office (P&L, cash flow, compliance status).
• Support management in budgeting and cost control.

7. Others

• Bank liaison (for LC, BG, payments clearance).
• Audit support (statutory & internal audits).
• Insurance management (plant, feedstock, machinery insurance).
