Expected Duration: Full Time
Job Type: FULL TIME (>=40 HRS WEEKLY) – FULLTIME – ONSITE
Pay Range: 25 LPA to 35 LPA
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Job Summary:
- The Senior Reservoir Simulation Engineer performs reservoir engineering and simulation studies for clients' worldwide operations across various asset classes, while mentoring and training less experienced engineers.
- Supports field development and base business activities in business units by providing history matching and optimization studies, uncertainty assessment, and probabilistic production forecasts, including primary, enhanced oil recovery (EOR), and improved oil recovery (IOR).
- Works alongside earth scientists and other disciplines to develop depletion plans, estimate reserves, and propose development alternatives for various fields.
- Engage continuously with business units and client Technical Center.
- Performs reservoir engineering and simulation studies, including building or updating simulation models in collaboration with Earth scientists, history matching production and pressure data, and predicting future performance.
- Develops asset development plans and proposed depletion strategies, such as well type/count and depletion mechanisms.
- Utilizes tools like Petrel-RE, INTERSECT, and IPM suite for history matching, optimization studies, and probabilistic production forecasts.
- Coaches and mentors team members on simulation fundamentals and principles, fostering expertise in INTERSECT.
- Required qualifications include a BS and MS in Petroleum Engineering or similar discipline, hands-on experience in probabilistic production forecasting, history matching, and optimization studies.
- Demonstrated proficiency in industry-standard simulation tools (INTERSECT, Petrel-RE, IPM suite), with adaptability to Client's tools and workflows.
- Understanding of subsurface-surface production network coupled modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, promoting effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
