Lead Embedded - Power

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge in the firmware development domain.
  • Demonstrable programming skills and previous experience (8+ years) of firmware development using C/C++.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Firmware for Power Electronics – UPS, Power Conditioning Systems, Solar Energy harvesting , Hybrid technologies etc.
  • Experience in Power Conversion product Design, including AC-DC, DC-AC, AC-AC and DC-DC
  • - Experience in High power/voltage design.
  • - EMI/EMC/Product safety design experience.
  • - UPS/ Inverter Design experience
  • - Battery charging design knowledge.
  • - High Efficiency power converter design knowldege.
  • - Digital Power Conversion design experience.
  • - Power Circuits design simulation experience.
  • Gather functional requirements for product, design and implement firmware modules accordingly.
  • Recognize technical firmware issues, propose mitigation plans, and execute based on business priorities.
  • Demonstrate a passion for problem solving, and attention to detail.
  • Work closely with verification and validation (test) team to ensure full test coverage, and closure of reported firmware defects.
  • Document code functionality and using best practices followed in organization.
  • Participate in agile planning and retrospectives.

Skills

  • Demonstrable programming skills and previous experience (8+ years) of firmware development using C/C++.
  • Ability to understand and read electronic schematic diagrams.
  • Able to develop device drivers when given datasheets and product schematics including bare metal programming skills.
  • Experience working with Power Management solutions and firmware like Solar Energy harvesting, Battery Management Systems, UPS, Stabilizers
  • Experience in any of the embedded communication: I2C, SPI, RS-485, RS-422, RS-232 and CAN.
  • Familiar with power electronics circuits design and components.
  • Familiar with PCB design for power electronics
  • Familiar with power electronics standards and safety measures.

Optional and preferable

  • C/C++, Python programming experience.
  • Develop firmware for MCU’s , control cards
  • Development experience for MCU similar to TMSDSCNCD28379D but not mandatory.
  • Control systems, algorithms and topology for Power systems
  • Algorithm development
