We're looking for a skilled Full stack Senior Software Engineer to help us continue to innovate and enhance our platform. 

 

Job Description: 

 

As the Lead Full stack Software Engineer, you will play a dual role in both leading our development team and actively contributing to the technical development of our e-learning platform. You will be responsible for overseeing the work of the dev team and hiring new developers, when necessary. However, your primary focus will remain on hands-on development, dedicating the majority of your time to building and enhancing our platform. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Backend Development: Architect, develop, and maintain backend services using Ruby on Rails and .NET. Ensure backend systems are scalable, secure, and high performing. 

Database Management: Design, implement, and optimize database schemas. Manage both relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases to ensure data integrity and performance. 

API Development: Build and maintain APIs that facilitate smooth communication between our platform and other services 

System Architecture: Contribute to the system's overall architecture, ensuring modularity, maintainability, and scalability of backend services. 

Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance issues in backend services and databases to enhance the platform's efficiency. 

Security Implementation: Apply best practices for securing backend components, ensuring the protection of sensitive data. 

Collaboration: Work with our product manager, other developers and other stakeholders to convert business requirements into robust technical solutions. 

Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Conduct and participate in code reviews to uphold high standards across the team. 

 

Required Experience: 10 or more years as a Full Stack Engineer 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

Frontend Development: Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, React, HTML, and CSS. 

DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus. 

Experience in E-Learning Platforms: Prior experience in e-learning or educational technology is highly desirable. 

Security Focus: Understanding of web application security principles and best practices. 

Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
