Responsibilities

  • Design and Development of Automotive Throttle body, Turbocharger, Castings, Plastic components to meet functional, reliability and durability goals for Gasoline & Diesel application
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and Process partners to understand and document the requirements
  • Knowledge on development process about APQP, PLM and PPAP documentation
  • Interaction with supplier for components development and validation
  • Knowledge on product manufacturing process
  • Knowledge on casting, forging, injection moulding process
  • Knowledge on Metallic, Polymer and Plastic materials
  • Involvement in new concepts integration and providing the technical solutions
  • Implementation of various VAVE ideas
  • Work with CFT, manufacturing plant to ensure design for manufacturability
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, purchasing during part development
  • Conduct design reviews with the stakeholders and technical drawings releases
  • Detailed failure analysis and taking the corrective actions through systematic approach
  • CAD, Teamcenter knowledge will be added advantage

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Mechanical / Automobile Discipline
  • Work Location: Hosur

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of Packaging & Integration of engine system
  • Knowledge of Automotive standards
  • Should have very good soft skills.
