Our client is a leading bank who is looking for a qualified candidate to join their firm:

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for the bank's operational functions, including but not limited to, branch operations, customer service, back-office processes, and technology systems. Ensure that operational activities are aligned with the bank's goals, policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. Implement best practices, automation solutions, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement across all operational areas.

  • Develop and implement robust risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards, and establish controls to safeguard the bank's assets and reputation.

  • Collaborate with the technology and IT teams to evaluate, implement, and optimize banking systems, software applications, and digital platforms. Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance customer experience, optimize operations, and support business growth.

  • Champion a customer-centric approach to banking operations, ensuring that customer needs and expectations are met or exceeded. Implement initiatives to improve service quality, responsiveness, and satisfaction, and leverage customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.

  • Partner with finance and accounting teams to develop and manage operational budgets, forecasts, and cost-control measures. Monitor financial performance metrics, identify variances, and take corrective actions to ensure budgetary compliance and profitability.

  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments, industry trends, and best practices related to banking operations. Ensure that operational activities are conducted in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines, and proactively address any compliance issues or concerns.

  • Provide strong leadership, guidance, and support to the operational teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Recruit, train, and mentor team members to build a high-performing and motivated workforce.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred)

  • Extensive experience in banking operations, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles

  • Strong knowledge of banking products, services, operations, and regulatory requirements

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Demonstrated ability to drive change, foster innovation, and lead teams through periods of transformation

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely
