Your Team & Role

We are seeking a driven and skilled Cloud Operations Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on experience managing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for supporting server and network configuration, software/hardware installations, and upgrades, troubleshooting issues, designing and deploying advanced networks, creating tools for efficiency, and ensuring smooth operations.

With strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, the engineer ensures reliable and scalable infrastructure support. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and is eager to grow within a collaborative team

Your day to day (Duties & responsibilities)
    • Operations tasks including supporting infrastructure for on-premises and cloud deployments.
  • Problem solver, capable of identifying and resolving issues, and able to see the big picture.
  • Eager and willing to learn new technologies and skills.
  • Perform operational tasks including, but not limited to, SW/HW installations, upgrades, and more.
  • Configuration of servers, networking equipment, and cloud resources.
  • Creation and integration of tools for internal and/or external consumption.
  • Troubleshoot, design, and deploy advanced L2 and L3 networks.
  • Track issues through to resolution.
  • Prioritize and manage several open tasks at one time.
  • Escalate issues to the next level, as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Participate in training courses, as required.
  • Document processes and update knowledge base.
  • Work closely with senior members of the Support, Operations, DevOps, and Engineering teams.
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize servers, networks, and storage systems across hybrid environments.
  • Perform software and hardware installations, upgrades, and patches to ensure system reliability and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and network issues to minimize downtime and improve performance.
  • Design, implement, and scale advanced networks, supporting business-critical workloads.
  • Develop and automate tools and scripts that improve efficiency, monitoring, and system resilience.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless infrastructure support and service delivery.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, proactively identifying opportunities for enhancement.
What you bring
    • 4+ years of experience in administration, configuration, and tuning of L2 and L3 network equipment configuration (Cisco switches, Fortigate Firewalls, Exterm Switches, etc.)
  • Certification or equivalent hands-on experience: CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or CCNP.
  • Fair Knowledge of storage technologies and protocols (RAID, NFS, SMB, iSCSI, FC).
  • Deep understanding of L3 networking including BGP, iBGP, routing protocols, VPC, VNets, SD-WAN, and cloud networking architectures.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, designing, and implementing network solutions.
  • Experience in administration, configuration, and tuning of Linux systems (Ubuntu/Debian and/orCentOS/RHEL)
  • Hands-on experience with remote hardware access and installation.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Must live in commuting distance to the Zadara office.
Nice to have
    • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).Experience with VMware Administration.
  • Experience with Data Center Administration.
  • Hands-on experience in OpenStack (managing and troubleshooting).
  • Experience with configuration management systems (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Experience with iptables in Linux and network-level ACLs.
  • Excellent team player.
Your education
    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Science/Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science or a related field.
