Job Description
We are seeking an experienced AV CAD Engineer to join our team. As an AV CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing CAD models using various CAD tools such as ProE, Creo, and AutoCAD. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all designs comply with the AS9100D framework.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review BOM, weight down chart, drawing, applicability list, manuals, etc.
• Interact with design consultants and create concept models and sketches.
• Review BOM and drawings before they go for approval.
• Understand Engineering change notes, study the impact of change on the product before updating the drawings.
• Co-ordinate with the manufacturing team during assembly and testing.
• Supervise and maintain the latest BOM and drawing hard and soft copies.
• Complete the documentation related to the product as per the engineering plan.
• Check 3D models for completion and interference.
• Understand tolerances considering functional requirements, test procedures, material, heat treatment, and manufacturing processes.
• Select material and special processes required for the component based on the application of the component.
• Assist procurement by suggesting equivalent raw material and standard parts in case of non-availability.
• Take appropriate and optimum corrective actions on parts with non-conformities under guidance.
• Previous experience in working for DRDO/PSU projects is an added advantage.
• Experience in design and development projects is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of electrical components and assemblies is desirable.
• Experience in working with the AS9100D framework is an added advantage.
Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in CAD design.
• Expertise in ProE, Creo , and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of the AS9100D framework.
• CAD certification is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Good understanding of mechanisms, fasteners, etc.
• Good knowledge of engineering materials, special processes, etc.
• Good knowledge of GD&T, Dimensioning Techniques, fits, allowances, etc.
