Name of the Position – Presales Engineer for SOC
Brief Background
With the increase in security threats, it is continuously becoming difficult and challenging for customers to keep up with the security requirements and secure the IT infrastructure and data and hence there’s huge requirement to analyse and propose right security posture and solution to achieve the same.
Security Engineers with passion to learn new technologies, studying market trends in terms of threats & security solutions. Interact with customers to understand their requirements and propose appropriate solution using various security solutions from ESDS and different OEM’s product portfolio from the market.
What the Role needs to Achieve
Work along with Sales team to understand the client’s requirement.
Prepare the opportunity analysis report and define the strategy for the solution and suggesting Pros-Cons in the opportunity.
Coordinating with TL to decide Go/No-Go.
Coordinating with different teams like SOC team, Purchase team, SD team, OEM’s and so on for getting the inputs on solution requirements, delivery timelines, pricing from OEM’s, etc…to form a complete Techno-Commercial proposal.
Preparing the Bill of material, Bill of quantities, HLD’s, Scope of work, SLA, Deliverables, Assumptions, Exclusions.
Presenting the solution to the customer.
Supporting Sales team during negotiations to revise the Solution, Bill of material, Bill of quantities if required.
Verify the PO against the proposal finalized by the customer and provide the PO acceptance from Bill of Material, Scope of Work, Bill of Quantities, SLA, Delivery timelines.
Once the order is received, then giving the Knowledge transfer to Delivery team.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work along with Sales team to understand the client’s requirement.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Should have hands-on experience on various security solutions like Firewalls, UTMs, PIM, PAM, DAM, DDOS, Anti-virus, Anti-Malware, Anti-spam solutions, exposure to various SIEM, SOAR & EDR tools is essential and preferred.
Should have experience in Designing solutions and creating offerings for SOC requirements.
Should have experience in interacting with clients to understand the SOC requirements and create an analysis of the requirement and design/prepare solution such that it would not only meet customer’s requirement but also give them better experience.
Should have experience in creating bill of material based on the clients requirement, coordinate with respective teams to create commercial proposals for SOC.
Should be very good in communication, aggressive, zeal to learn new technologies. Good in presentations.
Should be well versed with different tools like Visio, Mind maps, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF writers and other document creation/editing tools.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree
EXPERIENCE
5-10 years of experience in working as Presales for SOC opportunities/requirements.
