Essar Projects is the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) arm of Essar with over five decades’ experience of executing mega projects across various segments like Infrastructure, Hydrocarbons, Minerals & Metals, Cross-country Pipelines, Power and Renewable Energy. The core EPC capabilities of the company span across greenfield, brownfield, upstream and downstream sectors, construction projects, engineering and project management consultancy. It has a successful track record in project execution across key markets such as India, Middle East, Europe, South-East Asia, America and also some challenging geographies of Africa and Papua New Guinea.


To augment our Engineering & Designing team in view of our proposed expansion and globalisation plans, we are looking for qualified and experienced professionals at Essar Constructions India Ltd – Engineering Division, Surat.


Major Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for designing and optimizing the utility systems Power and Minerals & Metals Projects.
  • Ensure availability of utilities system for project plants like water, compressed air, gas, steam generation and wastewater treatment, to meet the plant's requirements efficiently and sustainably.
  • Selection of appropriate equipment, such as compressor, pumps, cooling towers and treatment units, and specify their technical specifications for utility systems
  • Carry out calculations for material, water & energy balance required during the engineering & development.
  • Preparation of plant utility PFD, P&IDs sheets.
  • Preparation of equipment & instrument data sheets ensuring cost-effectiveness while meeting quality standards.
  • Work closely with other engineering teams, including process engineers, mechanical engineers, and other departmental engineers, to ensure seamless integration of utility systems with the overall plant design.
  • Preparation of Control Philosophy of Utility Area.
  • Preparation of reports and manuals pertaining to projects.
  • Process Design for Static equipment, Pressure vessels and rotary equipment.
  • Preparation and review of Technical Specification, Technical recommendation, Technical Bid Evaluation documents for Equipment Procurement and participate / lead Vendor technical discussion
  • Preparation and review of Technological Layout and General Arrangement drawings.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering workflow and inter discipline interfaces for engineering.
  • Review of Vendor & Detail Engineering documents.
  • Review of 3D models and providing necessary engineering inputs to update the 3D model.
  • Review of Tender document, addendum, revision and its annexure etc.
  • Perform interdisciplinary checks and guide draftsmen, checking of detail engineering drawings, data sheets etc.
  • Establish deadlines for the team, manage priorities and effectively achieve the goals in fast paced environment is critical.
  • Must have sound knowledge on Process Designs and Balance Calculation, Technological Layout and General Arrangement drawings of Process Units.
  • Concluding Design with Vendors and Client, if required through Visit/meeting at Vendor/Client location.


Technical & Behavioral Skills:

Hands on work experience in software’s like MS office, Auto-CAD, Smart Plan P&ID, Auto plant 3D.

Qualification:

BE / B.Tech. - Mechanical / Chemical Engineering


Experience:

8 - 15 years of experience in an Engineering Company involved in Utility Process design Engineering and Project Management for Power and Minerals & Metals Projects.
