Essar Projects is the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) arm of Essar with over five decades’ experience of executing mega projects across various segments like Infrastructure, Hydrocarbons, Minerals & Metals, Cross-country Pipelines, Power and Renewable Energy. The core EPC capabilities of the company span across greenfield, brownfield, upstream and downstream sectors, construction projects, engineering and project management consultancy. It has a successful track record in project execution across key markets such as India, Middle East, Europe, South-East Asia, America and also some challenging geographies of Africa and Papua New Guinea.


To augment our Engineering & Designing team in view of our proposed expansion and globalisation plans, we are looking for qualified and experienced professionals at Essar Constructions India Ltd – Engineering Division, Surat.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for design of various RCC / Steel Structures for different types of Industrial Plants viz. Minerals & Metals, Power, Hydrocarbon, Infrastructure, etc.
  • Design of Structures in line with Indian / International Standard Codes and vendor inputs
  • Function as a technical specialist in formulating and developing advanced engineering concepts, techniques, etc. and lead a group of engineers and guide them with technical inputs
  • Review and approve detailed calculations and drawings of Structural elements and get it approved from third party consultants as per requirement
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams as well as with clients
  • Manage overall planning, scheduling and costing of assigned projects
  • Review assigned projects and ensure adequacy and accuracy as per engineering standards and project requirements
  • Conduct meetings with various stake holders for assigned projects and ensure timely completion of the projects.
  • Prepare tender documents viz. scope of work, budgetary estimations with costing, technical specifications / recommendations etc.


Technical & Behavioral Skills:

  • Conversant with design software like – STAAD. Pro, STAAD Foundation, ETABs, etc.
  • Expert in design of various RCC & Steel structures using Indian or International codes.
  • Expertise in MS Office and hands on knowledge of other engineering softwares viz. PDS, PDMS, Auto plant 3D, AutoCAD, Tekla, StruCad etc.
  • Self-initiator and leader with positive attitude and should be able to guide/nurture team of junior engineers
  • Should possess good interpersonal, communication & presentation skills


Qualification:

Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Structure)


Experience:

10 to 18 years experience in the field of Basic & Detail Engineering in various sectors such as Minerals & Metals, Hydrocarbon, Power, Infrastructure etc.

Experience in Civil design projects with consulting engineering firms in design of various industrial steel & RCC structures will be an added advantage
