Role & responsibilities
We are looking for a dynamic Technical Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team with a focus on client engagement, project management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of technical concepts, proven management skills, and a strong ability to interact with clients to ensure their needs are met and projects are delivered successfully.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Management:Manage and mentor a team of engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and provide ongoing feedback to team members.Facilitate professional development opportunities and support career growth within the team.Project Management:Oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company objectives.Develop detailed project plans, manage resources, and monitor progress to meet deadlines and budgets.Identify and address project risks, issues, and changes to keep projects on track.Client Engagement & Communication:Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring their satisfaction with deliverables.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and incorporating their feedback into project execution.Prepare and present project updates, technical reports, and performance metrics to clients and senior management.Technical Oversight:Provide high-level technical guidance and ensure that engineering solutions meet quality standards and client specifications (Good to Have not mandatory)Review technical designs and documentation to ensure they are aligned with project requirements.Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, advising on their potential impact on projects.Strategic Planning & Process Improvement:Contribute to the development of engineering strategies and processes that enhance team performance and project outcomes.Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.Billing & Budget Management:Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.Coordinate with finance teams to oversee billing and invoicing related to client engagements.Qualifications:Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus but not required.Experience : 8+ years of experience in a technical or engineering role, with at least 2 years in a technical (any domain is OK) and minimum 2 years in management or leadership position.Technical Skills :Basic understanding of Technology, (software development processes, cloud platforms, or specific tools).Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and practices.Management Skills :Proven experience in managing teams, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.Strong project management skills with a history of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.Client Engagement Skills :Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.Experience in managing client expectations, addressing concerns, and delivering solutions that meet their needs.Soft Skills :Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Proven communication skillsAbility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
