Its operations integrate technology and consumer insights to manage scale and efficiency.Job DescriptionProviding phone, email, remote, and in-person support to troubleshoot various technical problemsInstalling and configuring computer hardware, software, peripherals, and networking equipmentResolving issues with internet connectivity, printers, scanners, phones, and other equipmentPerforming troubleshooting to diagnose system failures and identifying root causesManaging technology inventory and placing orders for equipmentEscalating complex issues to the appropriate teams if unable to resolve them independentlyProviding new system orientation and training to end usersDocumenting technical issues and solutions in a ticketing systemReceiving requests via phone, email, chat, or ticketing systemsAsking questions to properly diagnose reported issuesResolving common problems like network connectivity, password reset, email access, printer jamming,etc.Tracking issues from initial report to final resolutionTroubleshoot Issues:Investigating error messagesReviewing system and application logsTesting software and hardware to pinpoint faulty component(s)Escalating to a specialized team if unable to diagnoseDocumenting details to share with engineering/development teamsInstall & Configure SystemsFormatting, partitioning and imaging hard drivesUpgrading or replacing hardware components like memory, network cards, video cardsInstalling operating systems, software drivers and applicationsSetting up new devices, printers, scanners, etc.Configuring system settings, security tools, VPN access etc.Performing preventative maintenance activitiesManage Inventory & Purchase EquipmentTracking computers, devices, peripherals, components, and software licensesIdentifying needs for additional supplies and hardwareResearching products and vendors to find optimal solutionsCoordinating with finance/procurement teams on purchasesInstalling and retiring equipment according to refresh cyclesTechnical SkillsOperating Systems: Extensive knowledge of operating systems like Windows, macOS and LinuxdistributionsHardware: Understanding of computer components, mobile devices, printers, networksSoftware: Familiarity with productivity software, collaboration tools, security programs, etc.Diagnostics: Ability to review logs, run monitoring tools, conduct testing to pinpoint issuesScripting: Write scripts to automate tasks using languages like PowerShellNetworking Concepts: Solid grasp of how LANs, WANs, Wi-Fi, VPNs etc. functionInterpersonal SkillsCommunication Skills: Ability to interact with users clearly, politely and patientlyCollaboration: Work with team members to solve issues and implement improvementsTraining Abilities: Skills to educate non-technical users on utilizing technologyDocumentation: Note details clearly for future referenceTime Management: Prioritize and handle high volumes of support requestsProblem Solving: Apply logical thinking to tackle technical challenges
