As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the design and governance of innovative solutions that meet or exceed our Client’s needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define high-quality architectural designs and strategies, ensuring they meet the functional and non-functional requirements.As a senior architect, you will be expected to contribute to the wider UK Technology and Architecture strategy, ensuring innovation and market leadership is at the heart of what we do.Lead the architectural design and governance of complex business solutions, ensuring alignment with the overarching business and technology strategiesBuild strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needsRespectfully challenge our Product and Engineering teams to ensure clarity and quality is paramount at all timesWork closely with the Engineering teams to validate, optimise and adapt the architectural solutions based on the delivery feedbackAttend relevant agile ceremonies to provide architectural input and understand delivery changes as they happenDevelop and maintain architectural documentation, including solution blueprints, patterns, conceptual, logical and physical solution diagrams, and technical specificationsDrive continuous improvement and innovation in the solution design and delivery processStay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends and best practicesTo mentor and develop the architecture team itself, and support our partners in the delivery of excellent products through optimal processesCreation of blueprints and patterns for reuse across the enterpriseIdentification of opportunities for improvements to Experian global tech direction and advocate effectively for changeStrong cost management skills, producing cost projections and cost optimisation plans for both strategic and legacy productsWhat would success in the role look like?Recognition as the technology SME for one or more programmes of work within the Consumer Verifications domainStrategic (business and technical) alignment of delivered solutionsSuccessful delivery of one or more strategic programmes or initiatives, supporting the on-time and to-budget aspectsCreation of architecture vision and multi-year transformation plan aligned with business unit goals and priorities (for one BU or Domain)
Qualifications
A highly motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong technical background and significant experience in solution architecture.A hands-on technologistA continuous learning and growth attitudeAn innovation mindset; looking for opportunities to improve, optimise and automateBatchelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fieldProven experience as a Solution Architect, with at least 5 years experience in designing and implementing complex enterprise solutionsStrong knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS preferred)Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, reliable and cost-effective solutions using cloud technologies (AWS preferred)Strong understanding of DB technologies; relational, no-sql, graph, vectorSolid understanding of security, compliance and data controls and complianceExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively collaborate with multiple technical and non-technical stakeholdersKnowledge of Architectural Frameworks, e.g. TOGAF, ZachmanExperience in Agile delivery methodology – ideally SAFe (Scaled Agile)Experience in financial services is advantageousExperience of cloud-first, serverless solution design is advantageous (Lambda, Step Function, Glue, Event Bridge, S3, RDS, EKS etc.. – or other cloud vendor equivalents)Experience of CICD best practice is advantageous
