Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with Indian standards and regulations.
Monitor health and safety compliance at projectsites to ensure the safety of construction laborers, site engineers, visitors, and other stakeholders.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks, and take corrective actions as necessary.
Provide training and education to employees and subcontractors on health and safety best practices.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Maintain records of health and safety activities, including incidents, inspections, and training sessions.
Collaborate with project teams to integrate health and safety requirements into project plans and schedules.
Liaise with regulatory agencies and participate in inspections and audits as required.
Operational Duties
Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure the availability of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks for project teams and subcontractors.
Review and approve health and safety plans for subcontractors and vendors.
Required Work Experience & Knowledge
Minimum of 8 years of experience in health and safety management in construction or related industries.
Thorough knowledgeof Indian healthand safety regulations and standards.
Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans.
Strong understanding of construction safety practices and procedures.
Required Education
Full Time Engineering Graduate(Civil/Mechanical) with Diploma in Construction Safety / Industrial Safety / NEBOSH IGC from approved institutes
Health and safety certification or qualification as per Indian standards (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, etc.).
Skills Required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
