Job Title: Export Manager

The Export Manager is responsible for managing the company's export operations, including overseeing international shipments, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations, and optimizing the export strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Export Operations: Manage the shipment of goods to international markets, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Handle the necessary export documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain knowledge of international trade regulations and ensure adherence to export laws and guidelines. Work with customs and other authorities to ensure smooth and compliant shipments.
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to manage global shipping routes. Optimize logistics and supply chain strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with international clients, distributors, and suppliers. Address client inquiries and provide support regarding shipping schedules, customs clearance, and order fulfillment.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to expand the company's presence in international markets. Monitor international market trends, identify new opportunities, and recommend adjustments to the export strategy.
  • Risk Management: Ensure that proper insurance coverage is in place for international shipments. Assess and mitigate risks associated with global trade.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, finance) to ensure smooth export operations. Collaborate with the logistics and warehouse teams to manage inventory and fulfill orders accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in export management or international trade.
  • Strong knowledge of export documentation, trade compliance, and global shipping processes.
  • Proficient in export management software, logistics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of foreign languages is a plus.
  • Certification in international trade or export management (e.g., Certified Export Specialist).
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM software systems.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time position.
  • Occasional travel may be required to visit international clients or attend trade shows.
