Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design EV components, assemblies, and systems (e.g., chassis, enclosures, battery housings, frames, sheet metal parts, and plastic components).
  • Design and develop agricultural equipment/machinery parts including structural frames, gear housings, sheet metal, and welded assemblies.
  • Create 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and detailed manufacturing documentation using SolidWorks.
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Production, Quality, Supply Chain) to validate designs and ensure feasibility.
  • Conduct design validation, tolerance stack-up analysis, and simulation checks to improve performance and durability.
  • Participate in prototype development, testing, and design modifications as required.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (automotive/agriculture) and regulatory guidelines.
  • Work closely with vendors and suppliers for part feasibility and DFM (Design for Manufacturing).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in product design for EV automotive or agricultural equipment/machinery.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modelling, assemblies, sheet metal, weldments, surface modelling, simulation).
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes: sheet metal, machining, fabrication, casting, plastics.
  • Good understanding of EV systems, mechanical assemblies, and agriculture machinery components.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and design validation methods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹15, ₹40,000.00 per month
