Designing and implementing complex and well-architected enterprise infrastructure solutions that support mid-to-large size organizations
Work to improve existing IT-managed systems, solutions, and process through architectural reviews and design enhancement initiatives
Experience in devops methodologies and practices as applied to infrastructure, cloud, application and network solutions
Improve systems to provide strict compliance adherence, security guardrails, and cost-optimization
Lead and contribute to the re-architecting of IT systems, solutions, and processes for more streamlined, scalable, and resilient implementations
Design and manage the flow of data through corporate systems to ensure compliance, data integrity, and data security
Deliver well-architected, end-to-end provisioning solutions to a growing enterprise organization across multiple environments and types of infrastructure
Build strong partnerships and engage with other teams at Sumo Logic to create solutions that enable and benefit all parties and increased derived value
Requirements:
6+ years of industry experience with a proven track record of ownership and delivery
Experience developing scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure architectures and implementations
Experience in observability and cost-optimization in application, server, and cloud (AWS preferred) settings
Experience working with Fortinet and Cisco network devices on a system administration and configuration level
Experience with DNS optimization and consolidation (CloudFlare, AWS Transit Gateway, and Route53 preferred) as well as VPN management (FortiClient, ZScaler, and Pritunl preferred)
Hands-on infrastructure as code experience (Terraform preferred) as well as CI/CD pipelines (Scalr and GitHub Actions preferred)
Experience with writing business application processes and integrations at an enterprise level (Python preferred, Bash and Shell acceptable)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience building robust and well-architected designs for enterprise scale systems with a focus on security and cost first architectures
Experience and comfort with an on-call schedule for enterprise systems during daylight hours regional time
