We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to be an individual contributor for the firmware development of various RTLS (Real Time Location System) products. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with various microcontrollers and collaborating with both hardware and other embedded software engineers and strong experience in C & C++. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will play an important role in design, development and ensuring the products meet high quality standards and guiding other development team members

Responsibilities

- Create, build, and test embedded software applications and work with the development team members fostering best practices, code quality and innovation.- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to architectural & design guidelines, coding standards and best practices.- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in applications.- Collaborate with other teams & stakeholders to integrate with various applications & systems effectively.- Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data and maintain a secure environment against any security vulnerabilities.- Create and maintain architectural, design and technical documents required to support & enhance the product.

Critical Success factors

- Strong proficiency in C & C++.- Extensive experience in TI microcontrollers, including the MSP430 and CC13XX series.- Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture,- real-time operating systems (RTOS), and hardware-software interaction.- Familiar with embedded compilers such as IAR Systems and Code Composer Studio.- Ability to connect and interface with external peripherals via I2C, SPI, UART, or GPIO.- Strong understanding of RF, BLE, and Wi-Fi protocols and- network communication protocols such as TCP, UDP, and HTTP- Strong experience with development tools such as- debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and version control systems.- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices including CI/CD pipelines.

Academic qualification

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical- Engineering, or a related field

Experience

- Proven experience as an Embedded Systems Development Engineer with 7 - 10 years of hands-on experience.

Key attributes

- Experience working with other microcontrollers & other communication protocols.- Experience in other programming languages to support- automation testing or creating troubleshooting tools- Experience working in Agile / Scrum and working in team members across different locations.
