Associate NLP engineer

We are seeking a Associate NLP Engineer with a foundational background in developing multilingual voice bots and chatbots. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of pretraining and continual pretraining of large language models (LLMs) for multiple languages. Familiarity with fine-tuning LLMs using Parameter Efficient Fine-Tuning (PEFT) techniques, including Low-Rank Adaptation (LoRA), is a plus. Additionally, experience with serving mechanisms such as VLLM and Sglang, along with exposure to vector databases, LLamaIndex, CrewAI, Langchain, and Langsmith, is desirable.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in Developing Multilingual Voice and Chatbot Solutions : Support the design and implementation of intelligent voice bots and chatbots that enhance user interaction across multiple languages.
  • Learn to Extend LLM Capabilities : Help enhance existing LLMs to support multiple languages through effective training strategies and data augmentation.
  • Participate in Fine-Tuning LLMs : Utilize PEFT methods, particularly LoRA, to assist in fine-tuning large language models for specific applications.
  • Support Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) : Contribute to the development of RAG systems that provide contextual information to improve the performance of NLP applications.
  • Assist in Model Deployment : Help implement serving mechanisms such as VLLM and Sglang to ensure scalable deployment of NLP models.
  • Utilize Vector Databases : Gain experience in leveraging vector databases for efficient storage and retrieval of embeddings.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams : Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to integrate NLP solutions into existing platforms.
  • Stay Updated on NLP Trends : Keep abreast of advancements in NLP, voice technologies, and machine learning.


Requirements


Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in NLP or related fields, with a focus on voice bot and chatbot development.


Technical Skills :

  • 1.Proficiency in Python programming and familiarity with libraries like PyTorch.
  • Basic experience with Hugging Face, SpaCy, Transformers, or other NLP libraries.
  • Understanding of LLM fine-tuning techniques is a plus.
  • Familiarity with serving mechanisms like VLLM and Sglang is desirable.
  • Exposure to vector databases, LLamaIndex, CrewAI, Langchain, and Langsmith is beneficial.
  • Basic knowledge of ML algorithms and evaluation metrics.
  • Familiarity with Git and Agile project management tools is a plus.


Education

  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Analytical Skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on innovative solutions in NLP applications.
  • Communication Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with LLMs and fine-tuning using DPO, PPO, or PEFT techniques is a plus.
