Role Summary:

The Assistant Professor will deliver high-quality teaching, contribute to curriculum design, guide student research, and engage in academic and industry collaborations. The role requires subject expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to blend theoretical and practical knowledge.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Deliver lectures, seminars, and workshops in the assigned specialization(s).

· Develop and update curriculum, lesson plans, and course materials.

· Guide undergraduate and postgraduate projects, dissertations, and internships.

· Participate in academic research and publish in reputed journals.

· Collaborate with industry for student exposure and skill enhancement.

· Assist in organizing departmental events, seminars, and workshops.

· Contribute to academic committees and university activities.

· Maintain student performance records and support evaluation processes.

· Adhere to academic quality standards and UGC guidelines.

Preferred Educational Qualification:

As per UGC Regulations, 2018 and amendments thereof:

· Master's Degree in Journalism & Mass Communication or equivalent discipline from a recognized university with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade on a point scale).

· NET / SET / SLET qualification in the relevant discipline as per UGC norms.

· Candidates with a Ph.D. in the relevant field (as per UGC Regulations, 2018) are exempted from NET / SET / SLET.

· Industry experience and/or professional portfolio in the relevant specialization will be an added advantage.

Specializations Required:

· Advertisement & Public Relations

· Film Making

· Journalism

Experience:

· Minimum 8 years of relevant teaching, research, or industry experience as per UGC norms.
