Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Freelance Azure Data Factory (ADF) and SQL Developer. The role involves daily tasks such as data analytics, data management, data analysis, data modeling, and utilizing analytical skills for designing, building, and deploying data solutions using Azure Data Factory and SQL. The candidate will work closely with the team to develop, test, and deploy data integration and transformation pipelines.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
  • Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to facilitate efficient data manipulation and retrieval.
  • Implement data storage solutions in Azure, ensuring they are optimized for speed and cost.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the data integration processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions that support business goals.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout all pipelines.
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications for the data workflows and architectures designed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data performance and scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Azure Data Factory, including building, scheduling, and monitoring data pipelines.
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing them for performance.
  • Experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, or other Azure storage technologies.
  • Understanding of data warehouse modeling and design principles.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other Azure services such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, and Azure Analysis Services.
  • Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data processing tasks.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other business intelligence tools for data visualization.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure, such as the Azure Data Engineer Associate.
