.In this role, you will get an opportunity to work on features end to end (backend & frontend) using the latest technologies such as Java, GoLang, Angular, React, Redis, PostgreSQL. You will develop products that can change the logistics landscape and will be used by some of the biggest corporations in the world. You will develop integrations with our strategic partners to help expand our ecosystem.You will work closely with the Engineering team, Product Managers and Designers in helping our customers have best in class user experience.What you’ll be doing:Understand the on-going work and priorities within the team and help plan for the upcoming tasks within the sprint and beyond.Partner with the product team to understand the problem space, the competitive landscape and constraints and help deliver engineering solutions that work both for the customer and FourKitesParticipate in design/code reviews, collaborate, provide direction and implement features.Lead by example in writing high quality secure code, improve test coverage and ensure performance and observabilityMentor junior team membersAnalyze and drive product requirementsArchitect and design product features for scale and maintainabilityLead in the design, implementation, and deployment of successful systems and servicesEnsure the quality of architecture and design of systemsImplement code with very high coverage of unit tests and component testsPerform design and code reviewsFunctionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutionsFully and completely understand system interdependencies and limitationsPossess expert knowledge in performance, security, scalability, architecture, and best practicesSoftware development of high quality/availability core systemsCross-training peers and mentoring teammatesDocument HLD/LLD for easy knowledge sharing and future scalingWho you are:8-12 years of Full Stack development with experience designing, integrating, and developing distributed applications in Java, Go or other high-performance languagesStrong understanding of Java, Spring Framework, and object-oriented programming principlesGood knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architectureHands-on Experience with front end technologies like Angular, React, Node.js, Typescript etc.Expertise in Modern MVC, Micro Front-End Architecture and Micro servicesExperience with cluster and container orchestration systems such as Docker, Mesos, Marathon, Salt or Kubernetes.Thorough knowledge of multi-threading, concurrency, and parallel processing technologies.Experience with industry, open-source projects and/or academic research in large-data, parallel and distributed systems.Experience with Service design, systems engineering, API Design and versioningUnderstanding of Design Patterns, Server less computing, cloud first architecture, TDD, BDD, CI/CD, Integration PatternsExperience with at least one NoSQL and SQL databaseHands on experience in full stack development. Willingness to code.Good to have :Good Java backgroundExperience building distributed systems using Kafka. Strong grasp of fundamental concepts of Kafka, ZooKeeper and building producer and consumer applications using KafkaFamiliarity writing and optimizing advanced SQL queriesExperience in end to end development of a productDomain Driven designGood Linux/UNIX systems knowledgeAWS compute and storage PaaS services.
