.As a Staff Backend Engineer, you will get the opportunity to work on features end to end (backend & frontend) using the latest technologies such as Java, Python, GoLang, React, Redis, PostgreSQL,etc. You will develop products that can change the logistics landscape and will be used by some of the biggest corporations in the world. You will develop integrations with our strategic partners to help expand our ecosystem. You will work closely with our US team and customers to develop features that help shape the logistics and supply chain industry.What you’ll be doing:Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex backend systems for the Dynamic Yard product.Collaborate with frontend engineers, data scientists, and product managers to define and deliver technical solutions that meet business needs.Participate in the technical design and code reviews, ensuring high code quality, maintainability, and scalability.Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and best practices.Mentor junior engineers and help them grow their technical skills.Contribute to the overall technical direction of the Dynamic Yard product.About the team:The Dynamic Yard team is part of the Facilities group at Fourkites. We are a passionate group of engineers focused on building innovative solutions to optimize yard operations within the supply chain. We are looking for a Staff Software Backend Engineer to join our team and play a key role in developing and implementing these solutions that ensure efficient management of yard facilitiesWho you are:Minimum 9 years experience as a Backend Developer or similar roleStrong understanding of Java, Python,Spring Framework, and object-oriented programming principlesExperience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDBFamiliarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptGood knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architectureExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentStrong knowledge of Git (branches, submodules, rebasing) and other Agile tools such as JIRA & Confluence.Agile SDLC experienceExperience in Amazon Web Services or other cloud services is a plus.Excellent oral and written communication skillsWho we are:FourKites® is the #1 supply chain visibility platform in the world, extending visibility beyond transportation into yards, warehouses, stores and beyond.
