Job Description:

The primary focus of this position is to coordinate the production and management of 3D models of facilities and equipment for use in design and construction. The BIM Manager oversees and supports local Engineering and Design staff authoring project models using Autodesk Revit, reviewing coordination using Autodesk Navisworks and collaborating with teams using Autodesk Construction Cloud. This individual works with the Engineering and Design staff which is made up of Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services / Process Engineers, Project Managers, Designers, Architects, and other personnel to define and implement a variety of additional BIM applications for given projects.


Position Responsibilities :

Liaises with IPS EMEA national BIM Managers to ensure understanding of project brief, BIM requirements, application of project technology, programme, budget and quality control

Provides technical support and training to Engineering and Design staff on BIM-related tools and workflows

Creates and manages project ACC, Revit and Navisworks models including developing and maintaining model standards, templates, and libraries

Ensures model accuracy, consistency, and completeness including maintaining the model content and ensuring compliance with project requirements

Coordinates BIM/CAD projects with all disciplines to complete projects on schedule and within budgets

Develops and implements quality control procedures for BIM/CAD production

Oversee high-level project Coordination on multiple projects

Qualifications & Requirements:

Excellent communication skills (Good written and spoken English)

Must be confident in setting up, attending meetings, then reporting and actioning meeting minutes

Experience in developing and managing BIM processes, workflows, and standards

Extensive previous design experience in mechanical and electrical system design

Experience and advanced proficiency in the management of the BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud environment

Experience and advanced proficiency in the use of Revit software including creating and managing complex architectural and building systems 3D models and families

Experience and advanced proficiency in model review, navigation, and clash detection using Navisworks Manage

Experience in the following project technologies advantageous: Plant 3D, Clarity, Dynamo, MagiCAD, Unifi, Procore, Recap, VR

Extensive previous experience coordinating MEP services, must be able to deal with and resolve clashes & conflicts between contractors, clients, and the design team

Previous experience in project space management

Must be able to read engineering Single line drawings and convert into accurate 3D representations following the most current industry standards

Familiar with surveying engineering principles and Scan to Revit conversion / modelling

Willingness to learn new software and develop standards

Ability to work with little supervision

Extensive capabilities with MS Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

Must have great organisations skill (juggling multiple jobs and files from multiple vendors) to be able to meet project deadlines

Must have a good understanding of CSA coordinate systems

Basic understanding of architecture & structural design philosophy

Previous use of Visualisation software recommended
