- Document the SRE manual and training material

- Who can lead/coach the SRE team

- Establish the processes, and work with multiple teams evangelising the importance of SRE, why one should adopt SRE etc.

Principal Responsibilities :

Responsibilities for this role may include but are not limited to :

- Lead and mentor the SRE team in the implementation of best practices and processes related to site reliability engineering.

- Work with DevOps teams and other stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving the reliability and performance of our infrastructure and applications.

- Define and implement metrics and monitoring systems to measure the reliability and performance of our systems, and identify areas for improvement.

- Identify and implement automation and tooling to streamline the SRE process and increase efficiency.

- Collaborate with the security team to ensure that our systems meet security and compliance requirements.

- Own KPIs on site stability, performance and root cause analysis (RCA) for production issues

- Enabling SRE training program, fostering learning and development activity at an enterprise level

- Develop and maintain documentation and training materials to ensure that the SRE team has the knowledge and skills necessary to meet our reliability and performance objectives.

- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response, providing guidance and support to the SRE team and other stakeholders.

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to site reliability engineering, and make recommendations for adoption where appropriate.

Experience :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience as an SRE or in a related role with overall 10+ years of experience

- Strong leadership skills and experience mentoring and coaching team members.

- In-depth knowledge of site reliability engineering principles, best practices, and technologies.

- Experience with automation and tooling, such as Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.

- Experience with metrics and monitoring systems, such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.

- Strong problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting complex systems.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Experience with cloud infrastructure, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, is a plus.
