Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Allied Health Assistants to join the GEM at Home Multidisciplinary team at Northern Health - Bundoora Campus. Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north. Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital.  In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg. About the Role: provides short term interdisciplinary aged care and rehabilitation services after an illness or injury.  Patients are visited in their home daily whilst on the program.   In this role, you will work under the supervision of an Allied Health professional to provide quality patient care within the patients home environment.  The role includes working with multiple allied health disciplines which may include but is not limited to Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology and Dietetics.  The role supports patients to achieve their best level of health and function, whilst in their home by provision of individualised interventions and education prescribed by clinicians.  The position also has responsibilities to supervise AHA students.  To be successful in this role you will have: Experience and practical knowledge of working with patients under the support of allied health clinicians Proven ability to work both independently and well within a team Well-developed interpersonal skills and communication skills Flexibility and a solution focused attitude Next Steps . . .
