As a Backend Software Engineer (Python), you will be an integral part of our engineering team, contributing to the development and optimization of our large-scale Python-based systems. Your expertise in Python, along with knowledge of frameworks like Flask and FastAPI, will be essential in creating efficient, reliable, and scalable solutions. Additionally, your familiarity with modern programming standards, APIs, webhooks, system integrations, GitFlow, and CI/CD practices will drive our Software Development:

- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable Python code for backend services and APIs.

- Collaborate with the tech lead to design and implement features that align with project requirements.

- Optimize existing code for performance and scalability.

2. Framework Expertise:

- Flask and FastAPI: Utilize Flask and FastAPI frameworks to build RESTful APIs and web services.

- Object-Relational Mapping (ORM): Work with ORM libraries to interact with databases seamlessly.

- Microservice-Based Systems Architecture: Work on microservices to help organize and segment code for specific needs and deployments.

3. API Development:

- Create external-facing APIs that enable seamless communication with other services and clients.

- Implement webhooks handles to process real-time data updates and event-driven workflows.

4. Internal Tooling and Reporting:

- Develop internal APIs for tooling, reporting, and data processing.

- Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth integration of internal systems and adequate data being presented and delivered to appropriate end-users.

5. Systems Integration Architecture:

- Design and implement robust integration solutions between various components and services.

- Ensure data consistency, security, and reliability across integrated systems.

- Collaborate with Technical Leads to expose any vulnerabilities or inefficiencies with proposed architecture or stakeholder requests.

6. GitFlow and CI/CD:

- GitFlow Workflow: Familiarity with GitFlow branching strategies for collaborative development.

- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Experience with automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.

7. Code Review and Quality Assurance:

- Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.

- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven Experience: At least 6 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Python-based systems.

- Python Proficiency: Strong experience in Python development, including knowledge of Python frameworks (Flask, FastAPI).

- API Development: Familiarity with creating RESTful APIs and handling webhooks.

- Database Skills: Understanding of database design, SQL, and data modeling. Basic understand of how to query and leverage databases to handle larger operations and data processing.

- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex problems and propose effective solutions

- Collaboration: Work well within a team, communicate effectively, and adapt to changing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Master's Degree: Advanced education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

- Experience with Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and on-premise hybrid systems.

- Front-End Technologies: Basic knowledge of JavaScript and HTML5.

- Agile Mindset: Comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

- Continuous Learning: Passion for staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
