Role Overview

The Manager - Finance (Fund Raising) will lead efforts to secure funding through various channels, including debt, equity, and other financial instruments, to support the organization’s strategic goals. This role involves close collaboration with senior management and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies, optimize the capital structure, and maintain robust investor relations.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies aligned with the company’s growth objectives and financial needs.
  • Identify potential investors and funding sources, including venture capitalists, private equity firms, and financial institutions.
  • Prepare compelling presentations and financial models to support fundraising efforts.
  • Lead end-to-end fundraising processes, including pitching, negotiating, and closing deals with investors and lenders.

Investor Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential investors.
  • Ensure timely and transparent communication with investors, addressing their queries and providing regular business updates.
  • Manage investor expectations by coordinating performance reporting, financial updates, and organizational developments.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Develop long-term financial plans and forecasts to align with the organization’s fundraising strategy.
  • Analyze financial data to evaluate company performance, funding needs, and investment opportunities.
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow projections, investment schedules, and financial reports for stakeholders.

Due Diligence & Compliance

  • Coordinate the due diligence process by preparing required documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with legal, audit, and compliance teams to prepare term sheets, legal agreements, and other fundraising documentation.
  • Stay updated on financial regulations and industry trends to ensure alignment with best practices and legal standards.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Finance, Legal, and Strategy teams to align fundraising activities with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective deployment and management of funds raised.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management based on analysis of funding options and capital structure.

Market Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct market research to identify and evaluate trends in funding and investment within the industry.
  • Prepare regular reports on fundraising activities, financial performance, and market trends for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor capital markets to understand potential impacts on fundraising opportunities and costs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree or MBA in Finance is preferred.
  • Professional Experience : Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fundraising, investment banking, financial planning, or a related field, with a proven track record in successful fundraising initiatives.

Skills :

  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information to stakeholders clearly.
  • Deep knowledge of capital markets, financial instruments, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., MS Excel, PowerPoint).
