Position : Manager / Sr. Manager - Revenue

Workplace type : Remote

Shift : Night Shift (US Shift), 6.30 PM to 3.30 AM IST


This Role is responsible for all month-end and quarter-end close activities. Specific job responsibilities include revenue recognition through our software tools, contract review, revenue recognition approval, reporting, audit support and ad-hoc projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • customer contracts and purchase orders for revenue recognition to ensure compliance with company policies and appropriate revenue recognition standards under ASC 606. (Compliance approvals, Deal breakup reviews -30% of time)
  • in the re-computation of Revenue in accordance with agreed upon approach from Auditors for previous year/years in order to be GAAP compliant. (Revenue Recast 30% of time)
  • with implementation of new revenue recognition tool Certinia and its integration with Great Plains and data migration. (Certinia Implementation-10% of time)
  • with monthly and quarterly management revenue analysis reports, account reconciliations, and other reports, as needed. (Account reconciliations, Flux analysis, Actual Vs forecast comparisons- 10% of time)
  • Fair Value /Standalone selling price analysis for multiple element arrangements.
  • with documentation/memos on technical revenue recognition accounting topics as required for complex revenue transactions. (SSP analysis- 5% of time)
  • with both external audit and internal audit compliance by maintaining required documentation and assisting in any required testing.
  • to assist in streamlining efforts to business processes, internal controls and system improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • and assist with other special projects, as needed. (15% of time)


Educational Qualification : Bachelor / Post graduation in finance, CPA Preferred.

Work Experience: 10 to 15 Years

Location: Bangalore


Skill Set:

  • working knowledge of hardware, SAAS and software revenue recognition guidance - ASC 606,and its application in practice, as well as an understanding associated revenue streams (Professional Services, Managed Services, etc).
  • excel and system analytical skills.
  • on ERP Systems and ability to adapt to new systems. (e.g. Great Plains, SAP, Netsuite/Oracle)
  • ability to work effectively in a matrix organization with limited direct supervision.
  • to organize and prioritize responsibilities effectively to meet commitments.
