D J A S & Co. values customer first, transparency with the client, knowledge-centric approach, and integrity.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for an Indirect Tax Manager at D J A S & Co. located in Kolkata.The Indirect Tax Manager will be responsible for tax compliance, indirect taxation, tax audits, and management of goods and services tax (GST). The role involves day-to-day tasks related to indirect tax management and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. Major function will be catering to litigation department whereby the candidate will be required to reply to notices, facilitate in conducting department audits, preferring appeals, client research work and other indirect tax functions which may also include compliance role.QualificationsTax Compliance, Indirect Taxation and Goods and Services Tax (GST) skillsStrong knowledge of tax laws and regulationsExperience in handling tax compliance and auditsAbility to analyze and interpret financial dataExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsProficiency in accounting software and MS OfficeBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum semi-qualified CA or CS or CMA with 2 yrs of experience in indirect taxation role. Other experience may not be relevant and will not be counted
