JoVE is looking for a full-time Motion Graphics Illustrator . This position is for creative and scientific enthusiasts who would love to create and manage illustration assets for animated educational videos.
Responsibilities:
Review storyboards and create the required vector assets from scientific reference to be used in motion graphic animated videos
Assist in the migration and management of Digital Asset Management system
Ensure all assets are delivered as per set timeline and required quality standards
Responsible for curating and updating legacy assets using Adobe Illustrator
Portfolio Link need to be included in the resume.
Qualifications:
Extremely proficient in Adobe Illustrator
Great written and oral communication skills
Ability to create assets with animation in mind
Demonstrable knowledge of art theory: line, shape, color, texture, proportion, and perspective
Hand drawing and digital painting skills
Be an eager team-player and open to receiving constructive feedback.
Reliable commitment and work ethic
Ability to work independently with little direction
Great attention to detail with project and asset organization
This is not an animation position but an understanding of Animation and After Effects is beneficial
Interest or background in biology, chemistry, or other science
** As part of the selection process, you will be asked to complete an Illustration Test to evaluate your comprehension of instructions, attention to detail, and Adobe Illustrator skills. This is a paid test assignment.
