Degree in the field of Health, Safety or Environment. Also experience required in a corporate organisation in developing or monitoring EHS management systems.Responsibilities:Development of EHS standards:Develops and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local & state rules and regulations as they apply to the organization’s operations;Maintain EHS in compliance with State and Organizational requirements;Measuring Performance:Set organization-wide HSE goals;Set goals for HSE Department and HSE Professionals in the team;Assist in the achievement of meeting company goals and initiatives, profitability, and productivity requirementsEnforcement

:Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and rulesEnsure Management of Change for all changes in the organizationHazard Identification and Risk Assessment:Ensure that all hazardous activities are analysed and required preventive measures are implementedPerform safety surveys and inspections, prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective and preventative measures, and follow up on task completion.EquipmentEnsure timely Safety equipment inspection whether internally or by contractorsContinuous Improvement:Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks raise safety awareness and improve safe work practicesDevelop and recommend improvements to the EHS Management systemsCompetency Development:Coordinate with HR on compliance with Training requirementsEnsure workforce competencies are maintained relevant to their duties and roles in contingency managementDevelop, implement and maintain support staff training programs as indicated by regulatory guidelines, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipmentCoordinate with HR on ensuring Ergo training requirementsCommunication:Manage communication strategies for EHSIdentify efficient required information sharing channels and implement same;Interfaces effectively with peers and peer organizations –IT, Finance, HR and other leadersCoordination:Participate in Business, Contract, and Safety MeetingsReporting & Recording:Establish Reporting & Recording environment to gather incident dataEnsure timely reporting of HSE parameters to relevant stakeholdersIncident Management:Analyse Incident data and Identify trendsRecommend actions and record CAPA to avoid Incidents across the organizationEnvironment:Ensure management of all hazardous waste and maintain records of the sameCompliance:Ensure compliance with Occupational regulations and standardsEnsures compliance with contractual requirementsEnsures compliance with environmental regulationsContingency Management:Develop and implement efficient operations emergency response plans and ensure compliance with state regulations.Provide support to the execution of all global operation emergency response plans and manage all emergency situations;Lilly does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.#WeAreLilly
