About the Role

Blackbaud, a SaaS solution provider that powers Social Good through software, services, expertise, and data intelligence, is seeking a Principal Data Informatics Developer who has a passion for data and an obsession for delivering high quality solutions and value to customers. You will provide thought leadership and expertise as part of a team focused on delivering quantifiable value into our business via data modeling, data automations, and data applications. Your efforts will align with and enhance activities in our data governance, data engineering, and data science pillars and directly impact the highest priority projects at Blackbaud.


What you’ll do

  • Establish development standards for data models, dashboards, and reports in Qlik Sense
  • Develop data models, dashboards, and reports in Qlik Sense
  • Provide thought leadership regarding security, design, and execution of data integrations via QVD creation
  • Develop data integrations through extracting, transforming and loading (ETL) data from various sources for QVD file creation
  • Set a high standard for user experience across all Qlik applications at Blackbaud
  • Design, develop, and deploy Qlik Sense applications leveraging front-end development and visualization best practices
  • Act as data informatics thought leader across critical business processes and projects
  • Partner with SMEs to interpret requirements and deliver insights into critical business processes
  • Lead the creation and evolution of Qlik Sense best practices
  • Mentor and support more junior Qlik developers, both inside of team and across collaborative developer community
  • Translate complex and advanced functional, technical and business requirements into executable architectural designs
  • Create and maintain technical documentation


What you’ll bring

  • 8 years of experience as a Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse professional or Qlik Sense Developer(MS1)
  • Expert in concepts and techniques of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
  • Extensive experience ramping into and learning diverse operational teams and processes
  • Experience leading large to extra-large size projects with ownership of project from conception to operationalization
  • Advanced skills in Qlik Sense web integration, advanced SQL knowledge, SQL scripting, nested selection, stored procedures, task triggers, analytic functions, tuning etc.
  • Expert in database design and SQL skills. Experienced in RDBMS such as MS SQL Server, Oracle etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or related field preferred
  • A strong analytical and logical mindset
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal/written) to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Qlik Sense certification
  • Knowledge of Agile principles and experience on a scrum team
