Educational Qualifications
- A first class graduate in Social Science, Commerce, Management, Economics, Law or STEM subjects or going to pass out in current academic year (from institutes ranked by NIRF - 2024– either Top 100 in Overall or Top 100 Universities or Top 50 Colleges or Top 50 in Management, Top 50 in Engineering or Top 40 in Law of the country).
- Graduate /Post graduate from a recognized university abroad having higher international recognition, with the requisite qualifications.
- Preference may be given to candidates with qualifications in Social Science, Information Technology, or Business Analytics or Data Analysis.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to handle correspondence and coordination.
- Knowledge of office procedures, file management, and record-keeping & office management.
- Proficiency in data analysis and management: document preparation, data entry / analysis and MIS.
- Experience in handling official reports, presentations, and documentation.
- Familiarity with office software like MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Understanding of government schemes and policies for effective administrative support.
Job Description – Roles and Responsibilities
The Young Professional (YP) position is intended for young graduates. Given their early career stage, their expertise is primarily in foundational research, data analysis, and policy assistance.
Job Role for Young Professionals
1. Research and Analysis: Conduct preliminary research and data analysis on policy-related topics. Identify emerging trends and key insights to support evidence-based policymaking.
2. Policy Support: Assist in drafting policy briefs, performance notes, and reports under guidance. Provide foundational inputs for policy discussions and recommendations.
3. Data Interpretation: Utilize IT tools to organize and interpret data from Ministries, Departments, and secondary sources. Generate basic insights to contribute to data-driven decision-making.
4. Administrative & Senior Staff Support: Help maintain dashboards and track progress of schemes and sector initiatives. Provide logistical and analytical assistance to senior team members.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Support coordination efforts with state governments and key stakeholders. Assist in strengthening monitoring and evaluation frameworks through collaborative initiatives.
6. Data Management & development of action plan – Inputting, updating, and maintaining records in government databases and official systems during support for implementation of the schemes/ projects. While coordinating with the State Government(s) concerned, support and help for development of State specific plans in all the programmes being implemented by DoSJE.
7. Verification & Accuracy Checks – Ensuring data integrity by cross-checking entries with source documents.
8. Document Digitization – Converting physical records into digital formats for easy access and retrieval.
9. Report Generation – Assisting in the preparation of summaries, statistical analyses and reports e.g. report of the status of implementation of the schemes / project of the institutions being funded by the Ministry, To prepare detailed field visit reports with key findings ( if such visit is ordered) to the reporting Officers of the Ministry once in a month.
10. Confidentiality & Security – Handling sensitive government data with strict adherence to security protocols. To ensure that relevant data and records are maintained with full confidentiality and responsibility.
11. Coordination with Departments – To organise and facilitate meetings between key stakeholders and regular coordination meetings in accordance with the governance structure of the project.
12. Compliance with Regulations – Ensuring data entry processes align with government policies and procedural guidelines. Further, make sure that the assigned activities are fully accomplished, meet expected technical and management quality standards and are delivered on schedule.
13. Perform any additional work as assigned by the management from time to time.
