Job Purpose & Role:Maintain and oversee the comprehensive fire prevention and protection system within the facility, ensuring all systems are fully operational and compliant with statutory fire safety regulations, including those mandated by the Pollution Control Board (PCB) and local fire authorities

Experience:

5 to 6 Years

Key Activities & Expectations:Planning and Organization : Advise relevant departments on planning and implementing measures to effectively control losses related to personal injury and property damage due to fire incidents.Fire Risk Assessment : Provide expert advice on fire safety aspects and conduct detailed fire risk assessments for Mundhwa and other locations as necessary.Evaluation of Preventative Actions : Assess the effectiveness of current and proposed actions aimed at preventing fire incidents and minimizing property damage.Quality Assurance for Fire Equipment : Guide the procurement departments to ensure the acquisition of high-quality fire prevention and protection equipment, as well as personal protective equipment.Plant Fire Inspections : Perform regular inspections of plant facilities to evaluate work conditions, practices, and procedures. Offer recommendations on improving fire control measures.Incident Reporting and Investigation : Oversee the reporting and investigation of fire incidents to determine causes and prevent recurrence.Coordination : Liaise with local fire departments and insurance agencies to ensure alignment with safety protocols and coverage requirements.Record Maintenance : Maintain comprehensive records related to fire safety surveys and incidents.Technology and Equipment Updates : Stay updated with the latest advancements in fire fighting technologies and equipment to ensure optimal safety measures.Leadership and Performance Monitoring : Lead and monitor the performance of the fire squad, ensuring effective implementation of fire safety measures.Team Meetings and Communication : Conduct regular meetings with the fire squad, documenting and distributing minutes of the meetings (MoM) to ensure clear communication and follow-up on action items.Training Programs : Design and implement training and educational programs focused on fire prevention and protection to enhance overall safety awareness and preparedness.Operational Safety : Have the authority to halt or suspend any plant operations if deemed necessary to prevent potential fire incidents or personal injury

Key Deliverables & Technical skills required:Software knowledge related to Bosch, Ravel, Agni, etc.- Fire protection, Fire alarm, troubleshooting.Knowledge of FM Global and Under rated laboratories (UL FM), NFPA/IS normsKnowledge of Factories Act and MFR
