Estimators & Senior Estimators - India
Position Overview: We are seeking experienced Estimators to join our team in the India. The Estimators will play a crucial role in accurately assessing the costs of engineering projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability while maintaining high standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to gather necessary information for cost estimation.
Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other technical documents to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals.
Identify and quantify cost factors, such as materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
Prepare and present cost estimates to management and clients.
Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Maintain documentation and records of cost estimates, including assumptions and methodologies used.
Monitor project costs and provide support to project teams as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience as an Estimator in the engineering or construction industry.
Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, CostX).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of local regulations, codes, and standards related to construction and engineering projects (specific to India preferred).
Certification or accreditation in estimating (e.g., AACE International, ASPE) is a plus.
