Hours of operation: 1 shift: 5.30am to 1.30pm

Salary – Salary commensurate with experience

The Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst (Linux) is responsible for working on assigned projects and technical initiatives in an efficient/effective manner. The Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst must possess a high degree of technical knowledge regarding Linux systems and associated tools for managing them.

Key accountabilities:

  • Proactively deploy and maintain Linux infrastructure to ensure 24x7x365 uptime.
  • Engineering of solutions for various project and operational needs
  • Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
  • Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
  • Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes
  • Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
  • Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
  • Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes

Key requirements:

Must have:

  • 8-10 years’ experience in Linux administration and management
  • In depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian , etc.
  • Hands on experience with databases on Linux
  • Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts
  • Expert in Shell, Perl, and/or Python scripting
  • Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP and SNMP
  • Linux certifications (RHCT, RHCE and LPIC)
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Good learner and be able to pick up new technology quickly.

Good to have:

ITIL Certification

  • Experience with hyper-converged infrastructure such as Nutanix
  • Experience and familiarity with storage solutions.
  • Experience and familiarity with AWS .
