We are seeking a full-time skilled Client-Facing HL7 Interface Architect with a strong focus on Corepoint to join our team. The role is responsible for designing and architecting HL7 interface solutions, enhancing data flows between healthcare applications, and providing technical leadership in client-facing scenarios.


Who you are
  • Experience: You have 3+ years of hands-on experience with the Corepoint HL7 interface engine and other interface engines like Mirth Connect.
  • Client-Facing Skills: You have excellent English communication skills to interact with stakeholders, understand their needs, and translate those into technical requirements.
  • HL7 Expertise: You are an expert with HL7 interfaces (e.g., ADT, ORM, ORU, DFT, RDE, MDM, SIU, etc.) and can guide teams in best practices.
  • Technical Proficiency: You understand data structures and technical specifications detailing data elements and HL7 message structures. You have basic knowledge of networking and different connectivity solutions (VPN, SFTP, TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.).
  • Healthcare Environment: You have experience working in a healthcare HIPAA-compliant environment.
  • Detail-Oriented: You have excellent attention to detail, are highly organized, able to multi-task, and maintain intense focus on individual tasks.
  • Adaptability: You are highly adaptable, able to acclimate quickly to new project assignments.
  • Team Collaboration: You work successfully with different teams and co-workers, adhering to client workplace rules and regulations.
  • Educational Background: You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.


Additional Desired Skills
  • Web Services and Standards: You have experience with Web Services, FHIR, X12, and XML.
  • Database Skills: You have experience writing SQL queries, triggers, and stored procedures.


What would you be doing?
  • Architectural Leadership: You will design and lead the implementation of solutions for integrating financial and clinical data across multiple systems.
  • Corepoint Expertise: You will analyze, develop, and test new Corepoint HL7 interfaces or enhance existing interfaces, providing technical leadership and best practices.
  • Maintenance and Support: You will maintain and support existing Corepoint HL7 interfaces and coordinate/implement Corepoint software upgrades as needed.
  • Security Management: You will apply MS security updates to Corepoint production, development, and test servers.
  • Client Interaction: You will provide proactive support by monitoring live connections, responding to ad hoc user interface questions, and resolving complex HL7 interface issues.
  • Documentation: You will create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the overall interface environment.
  • Incident Management: You will prioritize tasks based on the severity of user impact and resolve major incidents within established time limits.
