Responsibilities

  • Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities) for furniture projects (modular kitchens, wardrobes, workstations, etc.).
  • Accurately calculate the material requirements (plywood, boards, laminates, hardware, edge bands, fittings, etc.).
  • Determine cost per unit/item, based on drawings, design specs, and client requirements.
  • Estimate costs for custom furniture or non-standard elements.
  • Report cost deviations and suggest corrective actions to the production/operations team.
  • Interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.) to derive quantities.
  • Validate the material take-offs against finalized shop drawings.
  • Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports on material consumption, wastage, and cost per project.
  • Maintain a database of cost metrics (per square foot/per unit cost) to aid future estimations.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of furniture materials & manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and Excel.
  • Familiarity with CAD drawings and factory workflows.
  • Analytical thinking and cost control mindset.

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's degree or minimum five years of Experience in same field.
